We are seeking a passionate Team leader to join our North Sydney office as part of our broader National Civil team of over 60 staff. You will contribute to the general management of projects, team and implementation of the strategic Plan of TTW. This role manages and oversees employee development, workforce planning, building current client relationships, and identifying sales and marketing opportunities for future clients.

Job Description

You will:

  • Manage and lead project delivery including production of design, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports and other documentation to meet client needs.
  • Take team ownership by developing, managing, mentoring and training employees. 
  • Ensure your team delivers projects focusing on client level of service and quality to secure repeat work whilst meeting program and profit targets.
  • Ability to apply advanced engineering principals to devise and deliver practical, economical solutions to problems.
  • Manage the technical and contractual aspects of projects to ensure technical requirements are met and performed in compliance with legal requirements, TTW policies and procedures.

  • Influence, negotiate and manage effective professional relationships with clients, authorities and external stakeholders.

About you:

This role is ideally suited to someone with:

  • 15+ years’ relevant experience in engineering design within a consulting environment. in Australia,
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia
  • CPEng
  • The willingness to build & maintain strong professional relationships with both internal team members, fellow consultants, and clients.
  • The skills to prioritise and manage the competing demands of multiple assignments and / or projects within agreed timeframes and budgets.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of BCA requirements and relevant Australian standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team.
