Job Description

We are looking for Senior Traffic Engineer to join our team in the North Sydney office with Stunning Harbour views!

 

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Applies a deep understanding of all engineering principles and mentors less senior staff;
  • Ability to lead and manage a team;
  • Prepares Traffic Reports;
  • Assumes responsibility for the management of medium to large scale projects including pricing, tender submissions, technical documentation (including schematic design), project scheduling and monitoring progress, resourcing, meeting deadlines and budgets;
  • Preparation of D.A. Reports;
  • Ensures compliance with applicable Codes and policies– e.g., WHS practices and Quality Assurance;
  • Check structural engineers’ work, and any other tasks as reasonably requested by a manager or a Director.

 

About You

Ideally, you will be a degree qualified engineering professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an eye for detail and a passion for problem-solving.

You will have:

  • An Australian tertiary engineering qualification displaying a strong academic record and preferably registered with NER;
  • Strong background in traffic & transport engineering: nominally 5-10 years exp;
  • Hands-on experience with SIDRA and other network modelling programs;
  • The ability to communicate well with senior management, authorities and clients;
  • Excellent report writing skills;
  • Strong commercial acumen and outstanding consulting track record;
  • A sound understanding of regulatory requirements for Roads and Maritime Services’ approvals, significant state developments and council approved projects; and
  • The ability to manage the workload of multiple projects.
